About The Saints

How come that religious leaders fail to do the things expected of them?

They suppose to prepare for the coming of a saint,

Welcome his arrival, introduce him to the churches

And announce him in the public.

This very important duty they often fail to do,

Because they are blinded by their selfishness and ignorance.

Unnecessary Delay

They spent so long a time, so many years and centuries, before they can identify a saint. Whereas they suppose to know before hand of saint’s coming, announce the coming of a saint, prepare for his coming, recognize his arrival, provide for his needs and prosper his works. For example:

1.     Abraham was able to recognize Melchizedeck.

18 Then Melchizeek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. 19 And he blessed him and said:

"Blessed be Abram of God Most High,

Possessor of heaven and earth;

20 And blessed be God Most High,

Who has delivered your enemies into your hand."

And he (Abram) gave him a tithe of all.

Genesis 14:18-20

2.     The same Abraham was able to identify the two Angels going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah on the day he received them.

1 Then the LORD appeared to him by the terebinth trees of Mamre, as he was sitting in the tent door in the heat of the day. 2 So he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing by him; and when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground, 3 and said, "My Lord, if I have now found favor in Your sight, do not pass on by Your servant. 4 Please let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree. 5 And I will bring a morsel of bread, that you may refresh your hearts. After that you may pass by, inasmuch as you have come to your servant."

They said, "Do as you have said."

Genesis 18:1-5

3.     The same was true about Lot. He recognized the Angel visitors and offered hospitality to them without delay.

1 Now the two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them, and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground. 2 And he said, "Here now, my lords, please turn in to your servant's house and spend the night, and wash your feet; then you may rise early and go on your way."

And they said, "No, but we will spend the night in the open square."

3 But he insisted strongly; so they turned in to him and entered his house. Then he made them a feast, and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.

Genesis 19:1-3

4.     Moses foretold the Israelites of the coming of prophets among them, before the prophets came.

"The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear,

Deuteronomy 18:15-16

5.     God foretold the prophets of the coming of the Messiah.

6.     Simeon was able to recognize baby Jesus the moment he came into the temple.

And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. 26 And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ. 27 So he came by the Spirit into the temple. And when the parents brought in the Child Jesus, to do for Him according to the custom of the law, 28 he took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said:

29 "Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace,

According to Your word;

30 For my eyes have seen Your salvation

31 Which You have prepared before the face of all peoples,

32 A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles,

And the glory of Your people Israel."

Luke 2:25-32

7.     Likewise, Ann, a woman who was living in the temple area since the death of her husband.

Now there was one, Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was of a great age, and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity; 37 and this woman was a widow of about eighty-four years, who did not depart from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. 38 And coming in that instant she gave thanks to the Lord, and spoke of Him to all those who looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

Luke 2:36-38

8.     Jesus knew that Nathanael was a saint just before He saw Nathaniel.

47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, "Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!"

48 Nathanael said to Him, "How do You know me?"

Jesus answered and said to him, "Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you."

John 1:47-48

9.     Nathanael was able to recognize Jesus immediately he saw Him.

49 Nathanael answered and said to Him, "Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!"

John 1:49

10.         The moment Zacheus became born-again, Jesus knew and confirmed it.

8 Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold."

9 And Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham;  10 for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost."

Luke 19:8-10

11.         Jesus foretold the disciples of the coming of the Holy Spirit.

12 "I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.  13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

John 16:12-14

12.         The disciples were able to recognize and follow the Holy Spirit on the very day He came on them. It did not take them so many years to know it.

When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 2:1-4

13.         The three wise men announced the arrival of Jesus. They knew before the birth of Jesus that a saviour was coming. And they traveled very far distances to meet him on time, soon after birth.

Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East (of Israel: from India, Persia and China) came to Jerusalem, 2 saying, "Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him."

 Matthew 2:1-2

14.         John the Baptist recognized Jesus the moment he saw Jesus and introduced Him to the world.

Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. 14 And John tried to prevent Him, saying, "I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?"

15 But Jesus answered and said to him, "Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness." Then he allowed Him.

Matthew 3:13-15

15.         The Samaritan woman announced Jesus to her people, the moment she became convinced that Jesus is the messiah. Modern day ministers of God would use beauracracy to delay or hinder the work of God.

So, why continue to mislead people with false teachings and imaginations? And people accept all the nonsense because they are also ignorant like their religious leaders.

The Gospel of Thomas calls attention of the world to this grievous error of mishandling the saints, as written below

(The words in italics are the explanations of the spiritual statements):

60) (They saw) a Samaritan carrying a lamb on his way to Judea. He said to his disciples,
"(Why does) that man (carry) the lamb around?"
They said to him, "So that he may kill it and eat it."
He said to them, "While it is alive, he will not eat it, but only when he has killed it and it has become a corpse." [Become interested in your spirit self, not in the physical body, which is nothing but corpse. Seek out the saints when they are with you and emulate them. Refusing to recognize them when they are alive and celebrating them when they are gone, gives you no profit.]
They said to him, "He cannot do so otherwise."
He said to them, "You too, look for a place for yourself within the Repose, lest you become a corpse and be eaten." [Seek the spiritual life now that you are alive; after death, it will be too late to find and enter kingdom.] Gospel of Thomas 60
